UNITED have signed Liam Davis as the latest addition to the new era at Planet Plainmoor.
Liam is blessed with a wonderful left-foot and equally happy as a full-back or on the wing, giving manager Kevin Nicholson another player full of experience and hunger for the start of an exciting new chapter.
“Liam is a player who has done the business at a far higher level,” said Nicho. “He has had an injury setback but is now fully fit, and ready to show the Yellow Army what he is all about.
“He’s an intelligent and forward-thing person, and footballer, who fits into what I’m trying to achieve. He has huge athletic potential and a fantastic left-foot (almost as good as the manager) and can play a number of positions down the left flank.
“His experience will help the younger players and it all just adds to my excitement for the start of pre-season, which begins nice and early tomorrow morning.”
Davis began his career as a junior at Fulham but then made his professional debut with Coventry City. He enjoyed a brief spell on loan at Peterborough before moving to Oxford.
Next on the list was a move to Yeovil Town and then a stint at GAIS in Sweden, switching to Cheltenham at the start of last season.
Welcome to the club Liam, it’s going to be fun.
