2020/21 Season Tickets – Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be guaranteed to have the same seat as I had last season?
Due to the possibility of capacity limitations once the season commences, Season Ticket holders will be given priority access to home fixtures. Due to social distancing restrictions, the club cannot guarantee your normal seat in these circumstances. The club, will however, endeavour to allocate you a seat as near as possible to your preferred location.
Why can’t I purchase a ticket for a new Season Ticket Holder?
With Plainmoor’s capacity likely to be significantly reduced for the forthcoming season due to the continuing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the club has decided to take a proactive approach by implementing a structured release of Season Ticket availability. The initial release of ticketing allocation will be restricted to 2019/20 Season Ticket holders renewing their Season Tickets for the first two weeks, with further staged releases following constant review by the club, who will continue to liaise with all governing bodies including the National League throughout.
Once I have purchased a Season Ticket, will I be guaranteed entry into the stadium?
Once you have purchased a Season Ticket, you will be guaranteed access to all of the club’s 2020/21 National League fixtures, subject to any change to government guidance regarding social distancing. In the event that the Plainmoor’s capacity is reduced further / spectators are no longer allowed into the stadium, the club will do its utmost to provide alternative coverage of the remaining matches by some other method (e.g. streaming), and will contact affected supporters regarding this.
My Email address has not been not recognised on the new website – What should I do?
Any supporters experiencing any issues logging into their account, or need to update their details, are asked to email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone the club on 01803 328666 between 10am-2pm on Wednesday 5th August and Friday 7th August, and then 10am-2pm Mondays and Wednesdays thereafter.
Why can’t I pay by cash?
With the handling of cash payments being limited across the world due to risks associated with the recent global pandemic, Torquay United AFC has decided to join a growing number of stadiums throughout the country in operating cashless turnstiles ahead of the forthcoming campaign. This move will be facilitated by our new look & easy to use ticketing website, where both Season Tickets and individual match tickets can be purchased. Supporters are strongly advised to purchase their individual match tickets in advance of a matchday via the website. Purchasing a ticket in advance offers a number of advantages, providing supporters with the opportunity to reserve individual seats, as well as reducing any related health risks, cashless turnstiles will also benefit supporters’ matchday experience by improving the speed of service and cutting queue times when accessing the stadium.
What if I don’t have internet access?
Although the easiest – and quickest – way to order your ticket is via our new-look ticket site, if you are not able to access the internet, we will be happy to process your order over the phone instead on 01803 328666 between 10am-2pm on Wednesday 5th August and Friday 7th August, and then 10am-2pm Mondays and Wednesdays thereafter.
