Manager Gary Johnson spoke to BT Sport following his side’s televised 0-0 draw away to Boreham Wood on Saturday.

Asked whether a draw was a fair result, The Gulls’ boss was inclined to agree.

“I think it probably was,” began Johnson.

“We missed a penalty early on, and they hit the post a couple of times. I think both teams didn’t really create lots of opportunities, which is always disappointing, but at the end of the day we’re going away with a point.”

With another away game scheduled for Tuesday evening, it will be another quick turnaround for the United squad, with the Gaffer challenging his men to build on today’s result in their next match at Maidenhead.

“We’ll take it for now, but know that we’ve still got to improve a little bit.”
