Ahead of tonight’s away match at Hemel Hempstead Town, manager Gary Johnson is delighted to have a new option available in his highly competitive squad.

Following successive postponements against East Thurrock and Chelmsford, tonight’s game marks the first opportunity for on-loan Bournemouth midfielder Frank Vincent to make his bow for the Gulls.

“He’s a great lad, it’s his first loan so he’s very keen to do well.” said Johnson. “Bournemouth and Frankie know we’re top of the league so he’s got work to do to get in.”

United took part in a behind closed doors friendly last week where Vincent was able to show his teammates what they can expect from him.

“They’re happy someone has joined us that has a similar quality to the ones that are here. I’ll have no qualms about putting him in the team if I need to.”

Assistant manager Aaron Downes meanwhile highlighted the professional attitude the players have undertaken during the enforced break.

“It’s about staying professional and making sure we keep on top of the boys. That comes into training and also reminding them about living their lifestyle right. We’re making sure they’re thinking about what were trying to instil into them, and they’ve been doing that.”
