In what was a proud weekend for everyone associated with the club, three of the club’s youth sides were involved in cup finals.
Our U12s had a marvellous experience at the Football Association’s national football centre, St George’s Park. Although their opponents, Pro Football Academy, emerged victorious in the final, the lads can look back on their cup run with a huge amount of pride.
Our Under-15 and Under-16 sides both travelled to Worcestershire for their matches, with the finals taking place at Evesham United FC. Although our U16s went down to Sutton Coldfield, reaching the showpiece represented a tremendous achievement for the side.
The Torquay U15 Blues, meanwhile, fought out a dramatic 3-3 draw with Chorley Town FC, and in the penalty shoot-out that followed, the lads emerged victorious by three spot-kicks to two to secure a famous win.
