United’s pre-season campaign continues tonight with a visit to Plymouth Parkway, (kick-off 7:45).

One player that hasn’t seen pre-season action so far is defender, Liam Davis.

Player-manager, Kevin Nicholson is eager to see his man in action soon, without compromising his recovery from an injury that has arisen from previously wearing orthotics.

“Liam Davis has had a minor issue caused by some orthotics he has been wearing in his shoes, it is nothing serious but we have had to make sure we get him fit and ready without any long-term risk.

“All being well he will be back before pre-season ends and I know he’s very keen to show the yellow army what he’s about. I’m sure they’ll appreciate his skill set but pre season is a vehicle to get the squad fit for August 5th, and he is on course to get there.

“Our medical team have done a great job in making sure any injuries we have had have stayed as minimal and minor as possible and I’m happy with the shape of the group.”
