Defender Jordan Lee has returned to TUFC from parent club Bournemouth.

Lee joined the Club on loan at the beginning of the season but returned to the Cherries in August after suffering chest pains. Lee’s return to United has finally been able to completed a period of rest, a series of tests, and then light training.

“I had a month recovery, just resting at home, and then I went to St. George’s Hospital for scans which all came back clear,” said Lee after training today.

“I came in the next week for some light bike work, Then I progressed onto the gym, and for the last two weeks I have been running outside and then a week’s training at Bournemouth.

“It was a big challenge. When it first happened I quite scared, and I was wondering whether, if it was serious, whether my career would be over or not. Thankfully it was just a virus.

Lee returns just before United face Aldershot Town, coincidentally the last team Lee played against before illness struck.

“I’m glad we got a nice 4-0 win [against Maidenhead] and hopefully against Aldershot we can get another win. The last time we played them we weren’t fortunate. We didn’t deserve to lose and that result is fresh in my mind.  We can hopefully we can bounce back in the Cup.”
