The Club was saddened to learn of the passing of former Torquay United player Peter Anderson at the age of 86 last month.

Following twelve years with Plymouth Argyle, Peter joined United in February 1963. He had an instant impact in a Gulls shirt, scoring on his debut in a 2-0 win over Hartlepools United at Plainmoor.

Anderson went on to make 81 appearances for the Torquay, scoring 18 goals, before leaving the club to join Saltash United.

We will marking Peter’s passing with a minute’s applause at tonight’s home pre-season friendly against Plymouth (16/07/19 7.30pm KO).

Our condolences go out to his family and friends at this sad time.
