United’s squad heads to the Ian Moorcroft Stadium on Saturday to face Tiverton Town, as Gary Johnson’s side continue their pre-season preparations.

After a headline-grabbing 3-1 victory over Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night, Johnson is already eager to move onto the next test for his side.

“I look forward to every game that’s coming up'” said Johnson.

“I generally go to Tiverton, the manager is a good friend of mine, Martyn Rogers, and I’ve taken every one of my teams during pre-season to Tiverton. They are always a competitive team at this stage. The ground is normally decent as well and it’s not a million miles away from us. All-in-all, the whole squad will be going.”

With a number of United’s squad managing to get a full 90 minutes in against Plymouth, the Tiverton test provides a chance for some of their teammates to do the same.

“It will be a mixture if you like, some of them will be having a little bit of a rest but obviously it’s our full squad. Most people will be getting probably 60 minutes / 30 minutes, something like that.

“We’re taking the full squad down there, it’s always good to see our supporters turn up at these games for us and we appreciate it.”
