We caught up with Brett Williams, Luke Young, Elliott Romain, and Aaron Barnes before tonight’s big match at Plainmoor against Sutton United (kick-off 7:45pm).

“It’s a massive game, to be fair,” said striker Brett Williams after training this morning.

“All of the lads were disappointed with Saturday’s performance and they want to correct it and put ourselves back in a fighting position. We’re looking forward to it because it is a chance to put things right.

“We’ve gone through a few things since Saturday and one of the main points was our organization. We’ve tried to get that sorted so we need to put that onto the pitch tonight.

“Get behind us and we’ll do our best for you. We just want to make the fans proud.”

“It is obviously a big game after a disappointing result at the weekend,” said midfielder, Luke Young.

“After three good results we should have come into Saturday’s match full of confidence and it was a setback that we weren’t expecting because of the good form we were in. It just shows in this league that you can’t take any game for granted. You have to treat every game as if it was your last.

“We’re looking forward to tonight’s game and we’ve got to try and get the result.

“The fans have stuck with us and we owe it to them to put on a performance after Saturday. It’s good that we’ve got a game so quickly to try and put it right.”

“I’m looking forward to it,” said forward, Elliott Romain. Elliott was ineligible to play against his parent club, Dagenham & Redbridge, on Saturday.

“I’m ready to play again. The break wasn’t too long because of Saturday/Tuesday fixtures. It was a a bit strange not playing on Saturday.

“We’ve worked on many things in training and what the right things to do are. Hopefully we can put that out on to the pitch tonight.”

“It’s a massive game for us,” said midfielder Aaron Barnes.

“We want to make amends for the performance on Saturday. We know there is pressure on us to get the three points but the boys are ready to bounce back. We’re looking forward to the game and we’re confident we can get the three points.

“It is good when you’ve had a bad performance to get back out there quickly. We can get it out of our system and tonight is an opportunity to put it right.

“Stick with us. We’re all working as hard as we can to get as many points on the board. The fans are muchly appreciated and hopefully they can help us get a victory tonight.”
