Torquay United Football Club is pleased to confirm the signings of midfielder George Dowling from Bristol City, and left-back Chinua Cole.
Dowling, 18, signs on loan from the Robins on a 1 month loan deal. He made his debut for his parent club on April 30th 2016 and made 8 appearances on loan to Weston-super-Mare FC last season.
Cole, 23, joins the Club on non-contract terms after spending some of last season with National League side, Eastleigh. Before signing for the Spitfires, he played for Ryman League side Staines Town.
With United having injury concerns heading into the weekend’s fixture against Chester FC, their arrival is timely for Robbie Herrera.
“George looked good in training today. I know Luke Williams from Bristol City who is an U23 coach there, and we’ve looked at him a couple of times with a loan in mind.” said Robbie
“Cole was at Eastleigh last season and after talking to ex-Eastleigh manager, Martin Allen, we have decided to give Chinua a chance. We need a left-back and we hope he fits the bill.”
