TUAFC is pleased to announce a partnership with #HerGameToo, with the Club set to be the first to offer a whole stand for the campaign as United’s upcoming Community Day will see 1,000 Wollens Terrace tickets given to females.

#HerGameToo aims to combat sexism in football and was founded by 12 passionate female football fans. The non-profit organisation aims to create an ethos in football which sees women being welcomed and respected equally and has a wide range of aims, with the focus of building a more welcoming environment for young girls and women, as well as continuing their campaign against sexism in football and online abuse.

The Club’s upcoming Community Day will be at home against FC Halifax Town on Saturday 27th November and to illustrate TUAFC’s commitment to support #HerGameToo, 1,000 free tickets will be made available for females in the Wollens Terrace.

TUAFC is proud to partner with #HerGameToo, and with 60% of the Club’s non-playing staff being female, Torquay United hopes to play a role in this initiative, with the Club also being the first to give away a whole stand for a professional man’s game to women.

Torquay United has been working hard behind the scenes in recent weeks and joins a number of clubs from across the footballing pyramid in committing to the cause by aiming to create further awareness of what some females face in football.

“We are delighted to announce a partnership with Torquay United,” said #HerGameToo Founder, Caz May.

“They are a football club with a fantastic reputation already and a club that we have always been keen to get involved with, so we are delighted to get this partnership agreed.

“The generous offer of 1,000 free tickets for women and girls to attend a game in a dedicated stand at Plainmoor shows exceptional dedication to the cause of #HerGameToo.

“Torquay United has a large percentage of female supporters so I can imagine the entire fanbase will be incredibly proud of their support towards kicking sexism out of football.”

Speaking of the partnership and upcoming community initiative, Director Mel Hayman said:

“We are delighted to partner with HerGameToo for our latest community initiative at Torquay United AFC.

“The Club prides itself on being a family friendly, inclusive environment for all supporters regardless of gender and this is another worthy cause that our Club and community can embrace by working together.”

Tickets can be claimed online by using promotion code ‘#HERGAMETOO’ at the checkout, or alternatively can be acquired by calling 01803 328666 Monday to Friday (10am-4pm).
