Torquay United are delighted to confirm the appointment of Kai Hepworth as our new Head Of Medical.

Manager Gary Johnson was clearly delighted to have made a key appointment to his backroom team.

“We’re extremely happy that Kai has joined us, I’ve worked with him before, he was at Cheltenham during our promotion season. He’s a young lad with good qualifications in his field, and is a perfect replacement to Dan Feasey who has gone to Exeter. He has already created a very good impression around the football club and the feedback to me is that the players are very happy with his way of doing things. He will be a big plus for us.”

Kai was quick to acknowledge the warm welcome he has received from the club since arriving at Plainmoor.

“It has been good joining the club, everyone has been really friendly, they’ve welcomed me straightaway. There’s a really good atmosphere in the camp as well, so it’s been quite enjoyable to be around,” said Hepworth.

“In terms of the goals of the club obviously it’s promotion again, it would be amazing if we got that but in terms of my own goals, it’s to keep the team fit, healthy, happy, make them stronger and get them ready for the season.”
