With an exciting season drawing to a close, there’s been no let-up in the action for the next generation of United stars.

In a break from league duties, our Under-18 side faced Bath City and secured an excellent 2-0 away win in their Gary Else Memorial League Cup Match, thanks to goals from Isaac Beardsmore and Ewan Howarth.

Meanwhile, our JPL sides have also been back in action.

Last weekend, our Under 9s took part in a mini tournament at Long Lane vs West Exe Under 9s and Culm Valley Under 9’s. United came out on top in both matches, winning 4-0 against West Exe with goals from Thomas Ross (3) and Oscar Mills, whilst the 6-2 win over Culm Valley came courtesy of goals from Mills (3), Ross, Ethan Lopeman and Jamie Mitchell.

The Under 15s, however faced a difficult encounter in Elite – South clash against Galaxy FC, going down to 4-0 defeat.

On Tuesday, Under 8s and Under 9s both travelled to AFC Bournemouth to take on their Academy counterparts.

Our Under-8 side drew their first match 2-2, thanks to a brace from in-form striker Keano. Despite an impressive showing in the second match, late goals took the game away from the young Gulls, as they went down 4-0.

The Under 9s made it two wins out of two against their Bournemouth opponents, winning the first game 3-1 with goals from Oscar Mills and Thomas Ross (2). In the second match, Torquay reached new heights by racing away with a 9-2 win. Efforts from Oscar Mills (3), Mason Bryant (2), Charlie Wise, Will Leigh, Will Glandfield and Man of the Match Thomas Ross secured a victory to remember.
