Torquay United would like to congratulate Tom Vosper and his group of friends for completing their ‘Run The Cities’ challenge and raising money for Prostate Cancer UK.
Tom’s friendship group came together to raise vital funds for the charity, and every runner had their story to tell about how cancer had affected them. Torquay fan Tom lost his dad to cancer in 2017, having attended many an away trip together watching the Gulls after moving to Norfolk. 10km was completed in every English city across the span of 16 days.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK; one man dies every 45 minutes. Prostate Cancer UK is the UK’s leading charity specialising in the field of prostate cancer. They provide support and information for men worried about prostate cancer as well as funding vital research into the disease and campaigning for better services.
It is only with the help from people like Tom and the other participants that Prostate Cancer UK can continue to provide such essential services to help the 47,000 men diagnosed with prostate cancer each year.
While the challenge is complete, if you would like to contribute to the ‘Run The Cities’ total you can via their Just Giving page here.
