Devon Bowl fixture to take place behind closed doors
Torquay United’s Bayside Graphics Devon St. Luke’s Bowl 2nd Round clash against Exeter City, due to take place on Monday at Plainmoor, has been switched to an alternative venue, with the game now taking place at Exeter City’s Cliff Hill Training Ground on Monday 2nd December (7.30pm KO).
Although the hard work of United’s ground staff enabled Tuesday night’s home clash with Weston-super-Mare to go ahead despite the whole country battling against atrocious weather conditions over the last weekend, the potential impact of playing an additional match on the Plainmoor pitch ahead of three successive home matches has forced the club to explore other options in order to fulfil this fixture.
With no other stadiums available, this game will now be fulfilled at Exeter’s training ground, however, there will unfortunately be no access to supporters at this venue.
Please Note: Due to the match now designated as a Behind-Closed-Doors fixture, a full refund will be issued to all supporters who purchased a ticket for the original match at Plainmoor.
Credit / Debit Card Payment: All supporters who purchased a ticket via credit / debit card will be automatically been refunded, with the funds due to return to accounts within the next 2-3 working days. No further action will be necessary.
Cash Payment: Any supporters that paid via cash will be able to claim a refund during the usual club opening hours of 9.30am-4.30pm Monday-Friday. Supporters are requested to provide their original ticket / details when contacting the Club.
TUFC would like to place on record its sincere thanks to both Exeter City and the Devon FA for their assistance with this matter, and we would also like to apologise to any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause supporters due to attend Plainmoor on Monday.
