Torquay United’s women will turn their attention to cup glory on tonight, as they take on SB Oak Villa in the County Cup final at Coach Road.
With United just one win away from promotion, and set to face on Poole Town in the League Cup final later this month, Ryan Perks’ side can secure the first leg of an unprecedented treble as they face Signal Box Oak Villa in the Red Rock Electrical Women’s Premier Cup at Devon FA Headquarters on Friday 1st May (7.15pm KO).
Whilst United progressed through courtesy of a walkover, Villa will head to Newton Abbot in confident mood following a stunning 10-1 semi-final win over Appledore, with Rachel Finch (4) Mia Jones (2), Amy Prior (2), Mia Dulling and Saskia Brisley all getting on the scoresheet.
From a Gulls perspective, Torquay will be looking to claim their second County Cup in four years, after Sasha Mole’s goalkeeping heroics helped United to claim a shock victory over Devon rivals Exeter for their first trophy at the same venue back in 2022.
