NLS Promotion Final Ticketing Update

Torquay United can confirm that we have received an allocation of 900 tickets for next Saturday’s Promotion Final at Hornchurch.

We know straight away that this number will fall well short of demand. We have more than 1,650 Plainmoor Pass holders alone, before taking into account our wider supporter base, regular away travellers, TUST members, volunteers, partners, staff, players’ families and the many others who have played such an important role in the life of the club this season.

As a result, we anticipate that there will be no general sale of Torquay United’s away supporters’ allocation. We know that will be disappointing for many supporters, and we are grateful for everyone’s understanding as both clubs work to manage ticketing safely and properly for what will be a hugely in-demand fixture.

The Yellow Army has been magnificent all season, home and away, and there is no perfect system when demand so clearly exceeds the number of tickets available. That is not lost on us.

The club has taken time to consider the fairest and most appropriate way to allocate the tickets available. Our approach is based on trying to reward different sections of our supporter base and club community who we believe are deserving of the opportunity to attend.

The largest proportion of tickets will be made available to Plainmoor Pass holders, on a first-come, first-served basis. Plainmoor Pass holders have backed the club consistently throughout the campaign, and we believe it is right that they are given the first opportunity.

A number of tickets will also be allocated through TUST, recognising the hugely important role the Supporters’ Trust and its members continue to play in the life of the club. This includes supporters who have helped refurbish Plainmoor, supported the Community Share Issue, helped set up and promote the 1899 Lottery, driven the Forever Yellow programme, and contributed in many other ways to the club’s progress and future.

The club will also make provision for the Travel Club and our regular away supporters, many of whom have spent long hours on coaches, trains and motorways following the team across the country this season. Their commitment has been outstanding, and we want that loyal travelling support represented at Hornchurch.

There will also be allocations for players and coaching staff, club volunteers, key club partners, staff and others who have contributed significantly to Torquay United over the course of the season.

We know this will not satisfy everyone. But the guiding principle has been to recognise loyalty, commitment and service across the club, while ensuring we give the team the strongest possible backing on the day.

Any duplicate allocations will be removed, and any tickets that become available will be redistributed as fairly as possible.

Full details on how Plainmoor Pass holders can purchase tickets, including timings and sales arrangements, will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Plainmoor Play-Off Party

For supporters who are unable to travel or unable to obtain a match ticket, we are also planning a major Plainmoor Play-Off Party at the stadium.

The intention is to bring the Yellow Army together at Plainmoor to watch the match on big screens, with food, drink and entertainment available as we create the next best thing to being at Hornchurch.

We want as many supporters as possible to feel part of what could be a very special day for the football club.

Further details on the Plainmoor Play-Off Party will follow shortly.

This has already been a season of incredible support, togetherness and belief. Whether you are at Hornchurch, at Plainmoor, or following from elsewhere, we know the Yellow Army will once again give everything for the lads.

Thank you, as always, for your magnificent support.

COME ON YOU YELLOWS!
