Torquay United are delighted to announce the double loan signing of two of Plymouth Argyle’s most highly-rated prospects, winger Tegan Finn and midfielder Caleb Roberts.
Finn, 18, joins The Gulls on a one-month arrangement, whilst Roberts, 20, will remain at Plainmoor until January.
Plymouth-born Tegan made his first appearance for his hometown club as a 16 year-old in The Pilgrims’ Championship match at Leeds United in November 2024, and has since remained a regular member of Argyle’s first-team squad, making 25 appearances and scoring 3 goals.

Described as a ‘prolific wide attacker’ by his parent club, Finn adds an exciting new dimension to United boss Jimmy Ball’s options on the flanks, following the recent acquisitions of fellow attackers Jacob Beaumont-Clark and Angelo Cappello.
Fellow new boy Roberts made his first outing for Plymouth nearly five years ago, having first burst onto the scene just nine days after his 16th birthday, when he helped Argyle to secure a penalty shoot-out win over Arsenal U21s in the EFL Trophy back in November 2021.

From there, Caleb has gone on to amass 30 appearances for his parent club, scoring 1 goal, whilst also enjoying a successful loan spell at Truro City last season, where the central midfielder made seven National League outings, before being recalled to Home Park.
With both players already boasting significant experience of senior action at Championship & League One level, the pair’s arrival is sure to further excite the Yellow, as United look to follow up Saturday’s success over Folkestone with another positive result at Maidenhead tomorrow evening.
TUFC would like to take this opportunity to thank Plymouth Argyle FC for their assistance in facilitating both deals.
Welcome aboard, Finn and Caleb!
With both players available for selection for United’s trip to York Road on Tuesday evening, why not join us in Boots & Laces, and watch the full match on the BIG screen, right here at Plainmoor?
