Defender extends his stay at Plainmoor
Torquay United is delighted to announce that defender Denzel Akyeampong has agreed a new deal with the Club, which will see him remain a Gulls player until the end of the season.
Having initially spent pre-season at Plainmoor before signing a short-term deal at the end of August, Denzel has gone on to make 7 appearances for United since, and manager Paul Wotton was therefore understandably delighted that Akyeampong will now be remaining on the English Riviera.
“I’m really happy to extend Denzel’s deal until the end of the season,” confirmed Wotton.
“He came in on a short-term deal and backed himself to get a longer one. He’s done that, so it’s just reward for his endeavour and his effort.”
