Sonny Sharples-Ahmed Heads To Plainmoor
United boss Paul Wotton has boosted his roster with the loan signing of 20 year-old Bolton Wanderers central midfielder Sonny Sharples-Ahmed.
Egypt Under-23 international Sonny has made three senior appearances for the Trotters, having risen through the youth ranks at Bolton, in addition to gaining further senior action at Northern Premier League side Bamber Bridge during the 2023/24 campaign.
“Sonny is highly thought of at Bolton,” said Gulls boss Wotton.
“I spoke to Steven Schumacher about him, and he rates him highly, so we’re looking forward to him coming in and playing, and we’re in need of bodies too.
“We’re excited to work with him.”
Sharples-Ahmed will wear shirt number 22.
