Exciting midfielder heads to Plainmoor
Torquay United is delighted to confirm the loan signing of young Huddersfield Town midfielder Cameron Ashia until the end of the season.
After agreeing a deal prior to yesterday’s transfer window deadline, attacking midfielder Ashia arrives at Plainmoor having already made his senior debut for the Terriers, with the 18 year-old named in the starting line-up for Town’s Football League Trophy tie against Doncaster last September.
With The Gulls firmly locked in the National League South promotion battle, boss Paul Wotton spoke of his delight at bolstering his squad for one final time in 2024/25.
“Cameron Ashia is a player we have known about all season, but he only became available at the last minute.
“It’s another player in the door to help us for the remainder of the season.”
