Torquay United’s women will be looking forward to a new opponent in pre-season, with Ottery St Mary welcoming Ryan Perks’ side on Sunday 26th July.
With United’s original opponents, Bognor Regis Town dropping out of the home fixture originally scheduled on the same date, Torquay will now travel to East Devon to take on their Devon Womens Football League hosts instead.
With The Gulls determined to impose themselves on the fourth tier next term, The Gulls’ friendly schedule includes a number of eye-catching fixtures, with the warm-up campaign kicking off with a trip to FAWNL Division One South East side Queens Park Rangers on Sunday, July 12th.
The following weekend will see Torquay host Birmingham City’s Under-21 side, before local bragging rights will be up for grabs in midweek when Torquay make the short journey to Exeter City, prior to the trip to Ottery three days later.
The final two games will see United head to South Wales, with Welsh top-flight outfits Swansea City and Cardiff City providing the opposition in the first two Sundays in August.
