Dreyer Commits Future To The Gulls

Torquay United is delighted to announce that vice-captain and centre-half Sam Dreyer has signed a contract extension that will keep him at Plainmoor until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Dreyer, 22, enjoyed a standout campaign last season, being named TUFC Young Player of the Year and earning a well-deserved place in the National League South Team of the Season. A commanding presence at the heart of one of the division’s best defences, Sam’s performances have marked him out as one of non-league’s brightest young talents.

Manager Paul Wotton was full of praise for the young defender:

“This is great news for the club. Sam is an exciting young talent and will go far in football — hopefully with Torquay — and we’re pleased he has committed to us for the medium-term.”

Congratulations, Sam — we’re thrilled to have you on board for the journey ahead! 💛💙
