Yeovil midfielder makes switch to Plainmoor

Torquay United is delighted to announce the signing of Dylan Morgan from Yeovil Town.

The 22 year-old attacking midfielder will be looking to replicate the impact he had at Yeovil last term, as his move to Huish Park midway through 2023/24 proved to be a valuable component in The Glovers’ National League South title success.

Starting out in the youth ranks at Southampton and Forest Green Rovers, it was a switch to Swansea City that saw his career move up a gear, with Morgan putting in a number of impressive performances for the Swans’ Under-23 side.

Dylan’s desire for first-team football saw him move on to Taunton for 2022/23, before his dynamic displays eventually prompted a move across Somerset to Yeovil some 18 months later.

After helping his new club regain their place at non-League’s top table, Morgan has continued to figure for Town this season, making eleven appearances in the fifth tier, in addition to a highly impressive loan spell at United’s divisional rivals Weston-super-Mare, where he netted three goals in four outings for the Seagulls.

Having signed a permanent contract with The Gulls until May 2026, Torquay’s latest addition is sure to provide the Yellow Army with even more seasonal cheer, as their table-topping side entertain Hemel Hempstead at Plainmoor tomorrow (21/12/24 3pm KO).
