Game ON At Plainmoor

Despite the best efforts of Storm Claudia, we are all good to go for the FA Trophy clash between Torquay United and Maidstone United at Plainmoor today.

Head groundsman Julian Gouldthorpe and his team have been working hard all week to ensure we get the better of Claudia, and it 1-0 to the Gulls on that score, so get on down to Plainmoor for another afternoon of unscripted sporting drama.

“We have had three inches of rain over the past week, which is obviously challenging for the pitch, but we are all good to go for today’s game,” said Julian.

“We verti-drained recently and that has helped us to get ahead of the rain that we knew was coming. It is that time of year when the work of a grounds team does become tricky and there is no question the pitch is wet, but all the ingredients are still in place for a cracking game of football.”

Tickets for the Trophy are just £10 for adults, £5 for U18s, see you all at Plainmoor!
