Goalkeeper Foster Arrives On Loan

Hull shot-stopper joins Gulls on loan for remainder of the season

Torquay United have bolstered their goalkeeping department ahead of the 2024/25 run-in by signing 20 year-old Hull City goalkeeper Owen Foster on loan until the end of the current campaign.

After turning professional with Scunthorpe United in 2022, Foster went on to make 14 first-team appearances for The Iron, prior to joining Championship side Hull City for an undisclosed fee just over twelve months later.

With The Gulls currently locked in a fierce National League South promotion battle, manager Paul Wotton has made the decision to cover for all eventualities, with ever-present No.1 James Hamon United’s only other available custodian, as young keeper Matt Wonnacott continues his rehabilitation from injury.

Welcome to Plainmoor, Owen!
