Gulls Support Local Emergency Services Football Tournament

Torquay United AFC is proud to support our local emergency services by providing a kit for the Torquay Fire Station team, who will be taking part in the 2025 Emergency Services Football Tournament this Sunday, 20th July, at Kingskerswell Playing Field.

The tournament brings together teams from Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service, South West Ambulance Service, and Devon & Cornwall Police, all competing for the coveted 2025 title.

A big thank you goes to everyone involved in organising the event, and best of luck to all the teams taking part — especially Torquay Fire Station, who will be proudly wearing last season’s Gulls kit. One of the standout fixtures will see them face off against Taunton Fire Station, who’ll be turning out in last year’s Taunton Town Peacocks kit — setting the stage for a unique Devon derby!

It’s a great example of community spirit and teamwork, and we’re delighted to play a small part in supporting our local heroes.
