For the first time in over two decades, the Herald Cup Final will return to Plainmoor on Friday evening, as the home of Torquay United once again plays host to the South Devon Football League’s most prestigious cup competition.
Up until 2004, the Herald Cup Final was a familiar fixture at Plainmoor, and TUFC is therefore delighted to welcome this year’s finalists, Lakeside Athletic and Paignton Saints, on Friday 15th May (7pm kick-off).
Lakeside were the first side to book their spot in the final, courtesy of their 2-0 Watts Blake Bearne, before the Saints sealed their place following a penalty shoot-out win over Islington Villa.
With 2025/26 Plainmoor Pass holders being provided with free access to watch this much-anticipated encounter, we’re encouraging as many members of the Yellow Army as possible to join us for what is always a fantastic occasion in the local footballing calendar!
