Honouring The Fallen

TUFC to pay its respects v Hornchurch

Ahead of Saturday’s home match against Hornchurch, Torquay United FC will be paying its respects to those that paid the ultimate price for us all.

With this game being the last one played at Plainmoor prior to Remembrance Day taking place on Tuesday 11th November, TUFC will be observing a period of silence prior to kick-off, in order to provide everyone with the opportunity to salute the fallen.

As a Club, Torquay United FC believes that paying its respects to all those who lost their lives in battle is of the utmost importance, and we are proud to continue honouring the sacrifices they made for us all.

TUFC is also proud to support the work of the Royal British Legion in helping members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, veterans and their families, and supporters will once again be given the opportunity to purchase a poppy from various locations around ground, including Main Reception, Club Shop and all bars located within the stadium.

Supporters wishing to make donations to the Royal British Legion will also be able to do so on Saturday, with RBL representatives invited to the game as guests of the Club.

With our pre-match tributes beginning from 2.50pm, supporters are kindly requested to take their places inside the stadium by this time, in order to allow both staff and supporters the opportunity to join together to pay their respects.
