Young Stoke City forward heads to Plainmoor
Torquay United boss Paul Wotton has strengthened his attacking options ahead of tomorrow’s home match with Tonbridge, with the loan signing of Stoke City forward Rakealan ‘Keke’ Jeffers.
Versatile 19 year-old Keke can play in a number of attacking positions, and will remain with The Gulls until 2nd January 2025.
With leading scorer Cody Cooke unavailable through suspension on Saturday, Jeffers’ arrival serves as a timely boost for United, ahead of a busy fixture schedule for Torquay.
“We’re thrilled to have him on board, and we thank Stoke City for helping us out,” said Gulls boss Wotton.
The player himself, meanwhile, is excited to get underway at Plainmoor.
“I’m really excited about this loan,” said Jeffers.
“I think this will be very good for me, and I’m happy to be here. I can’t wait to get started!”
Welcome to Plainmoor, Keke!
