Torquay United defender Matt Carson has received a call up for the Northern Ireland U21s squad for Euro qualifiers against Azerbaijan & Luxembourg.
Carson has enjoyed an impressive start to his United career so far, and Torquay United manager Paul Wotton is happy that his player has received international recognition.
“I am thrilled for him,” said Wotton. “The call up is well deserved after his great start to the season and hard work. We wish him all the best and we’re really proud of him”.
The match against Azerbaijan is due to take place on Saturday 12 October (3pm KO) while the match against Luxembourg is to closely follow on Tuesday 15 October (7:30pm BST KO).
