Who’s The Boss – Chris Agutter
Manager Chris Agutter joined The Rebels from Hastings United in May 2024. He took over after a brief managerial stint from former Torquay United loanee Aarran Racine. Racine joined Agutter as assistant manager and the coaching team have led Worthing to fourth place in the National League South table this season.
How Have They Been Doing?
Worthing enjoyed a successful time in the National League South over the festive season. They kicked off December with a 2-0 win over Salisbury before a 1-1 draw at home to St Albans. A 1-0 win over Enfield Town, a 2-1 win over Dorking, and then a 0-0 draw to Eastbourne Borough leads them into this match.
Player To Watch – Danny Cashman
Danny Cashman has been in good form for Worthing this season scoring ten league goals. The forward started his professional career with Coventry City before loan moves to Rochdale, Walsall and Altrincham. Cashman joined Worthing in 2023.
Played For Both – Lucas Covolan
Goalkeeper Lucas Covalan made a big impression on the Yellow Army during a spell at Plainmoor between 2019 and 2021. Signed after a spell at Worthing, Covolan kept goal during United’s 2020/21 promotion bid including ‘that goal’ at Ashton Gate.
Previous Encounters
This season the two teams played out an entertaining match at Plainmoor in the National League South. United came out 2-1 winners on the night after goals from Omar Mussa and Jay Foulston.
