Not Long Now, Yellow Army!

2026/27 is on its way!

With the sun out and temperature soaring in recent days, there’s no doubt that summer is well and truly here on the English Riviera.

Although the thrills and spills of the World Cup has pushed temporarily pushed the international game to forefront of football lovers’ attentions, it won’t be too much longer now until the debate over the necessity of hydration breaks is replaced by analysing your team’s summer business in the transfer market, ahead of the annual pursuit of domestic glory gets underway once again.

Things certainly haven’t been quiet at Plainmoor since 2025/26 ended in agonising fashion at Hornchurch, with all eyes, hearts and minds focused on Jimmy Ball’s side going one better this time around, as The Gulls look to plot their way to promotion in 2027.

New Signings

At the time of writing this article, there will no less than seven new faces for the Yellow Army to become familiar with – and there may well be more on the way too.

Striker Callum Morton‘s return to Plainmoor got things underway, before young goalkeeper Zak Baker was next to join the cause. Winger Sean Robertson and centre-forward Isaac Westendorf soon followed suit, before the full-back department was strengthened with the additions of Tyler Hill, Dom Bernard and earlier this week, Kian Jenkins.

Pre-Season Training

Last Monday saw the players return to training for the first time, as established Gulls stars merged with the new arrivals, as the physical preparations for the new campaign began out on the pitch.

The Yellow Army can be assured that no stone is being left unturned in the pursuit for success, as boss Jimmy Ball implements his philosophy and standards on his new-look squad, ahead of the pre-season games beginning in eight days.

Eight Warm-Up Fixtures On The Way!

Following a barren two-and-a-half months on the fixture list, the Yellow Army will soon have a chance to see their heroes in action once again, with no less than eight pre-season friendlies announced – five away, followed by three at home – to lead into the season proper.

Kicking off on July 4th at the VX3 Stadium – Homers Heath, as United will take on Buckland Athletic, before making a midweek trip to Speeds Meadow to face Cullompton (8th July). A return to the Bay to face Brixham AFC at Wall Park follows three days later, before Plymouth Parkway welcome United to Bolitho Park on July 14th. A visit to familiar opponents, Weston-super-Mare will see our travels rounded up at the Optima Stadium on 18th July.

A return home will herald a triple-header of games for the Yellow Army to enjoy at Plainmoor, as we host Plymouth Argyle on July 21st, Cardiff U21s on July 25th, and finally, Exeter City on July 31st to bring a packed month to a conculsion.

In addition to covering all 23 of our men’s National League South matches, all 11 of our women’s matches will also be included, in addition to at least 6 youth team fixtures throughout the course of 2026/27.

With the Club recently announcing that our Early Bird discount rate on Plainmoor Prices will remain in place until the first home game of the 2026/27 season, and prices already frozen from last season, this all adds up to the best value seasonal package ever offered by TUFC.

The addition of Klarna to our usual payment methods provides Gulls fans with a flexible alternative to paying in a one-off payment, and this is already proving a popular option with many supporters. Further information regarding spreading the cost through Klarna can be found HERE.
