REPORT | Plympton 0 – 6 United Women

Gulls seal semi-final spot

Torquay United’s women are through to the final four of the Red Rock Electrical Women’s Premier Cup, as Ryan Perks’ side secured a thumping 6-0 win over Plympton at Manadon on Sunday.

In a similar pattern to the previous round’s 7-0 success at Tiverton, most of the damage was done in the first period, as the injury-hit hosts suffered more bad luck, as their goalkeeper was left to watch the bulk of the action from the sidelines.

Debutants Mollie Taylor and Tee Kaptein both celebrated their recent arrivals with braces, with Matilda Franchi and Emily Elliot also getting their names onto the scoresheet.

Next up for our women is a return to league action, with a trip to Dorset to face Poole next Sunday (2pm KO)
