Rowcroft Unveiled As TUFC’s Charity Partner

Tufc & Rowcroft Hospice to continue working together in 2025/26

Torquay United is delighted to confirm that Rowcroft Hospice will once again be the Club’s Official Charity Partner for 2025/26.

Following on from a successful partnership between United and Rowcroft last season, 25/26 will see the two parties working closer than ever before. Since 1982, the specialist care provided by Rowcroft to the South Devon community over four decades has seen the Hospice blossom into an esteemed and well-respected organisation.

“We are immensely proud to be partnering with Rowcroft Hospice this season,” said TUFC Co-Chairman Michael Westcott.

“As a club at the heart of the Torbay community, we recognise the vital work Rowcroft carries out in supporting patients and their families with compassion and dignity. This partnership is about more than football — it’s about uniting our supporters, players, and staff behind a cause that makes a real and lasting difference in people’s lives.

“We look forward to working closely with Rowcroft to raise awareness and funds for the incredible care they provide across South Devon.”

Members of Rowcroft’s fundraising team were regular visitors to Plainmoor on matchdays throughout 2024/25, and by announcing the Hospice as TUFC’s Official Charity Partner once again, that is set to continue, alongside a number of new initiatives.

Mark Hawkins, Chief Executive of Rowcroft, is equally pleased that the close partnership will continue.

“We’re delighted to be joining forces with Torquay United this season. Both Rowcroft Hospice and The Gulls are deeply rooted in the Torbay community, and together we share a passion for bringing people together and making a real difference locally.

“Every year, Rowcroft supports around 2,500 patients and their loved ones with compassionate care – not only in our Inpatient Unit in Torquay, but mainly in people’s own homes across South Devon.

“With the support of Torquay United and its incredible fans, our nurses and care teams can reach more families in our community, helping to provide comfort, dignity, and compassion at the times they need it most”
