Spreading Christmas Cheer At Torbay Hospital

TUFC joins forces with Wilton Bradley to lift spirits on the Louisa Cary Ward

A stay in hospital is always a difficult period for children and their families, but when that stay takes place over the festive period, it can be even more testing.

To help lift spirits and raise some smiles for the patients and their loved ones, Torquay United players and management last week joined Santa to help delivery presents to patients on Torbay Hospital’s Louisa Cary children’s ward.

Thanks to the generous donation of some fantastic toys from Newton Abbot-based wholesaler Wilton Bradley, Paul Wotton, Mike Edwards and members of United’s first-team squad became honorary elves for the day to help Santa hand out goodies, much to the delight of the youngsters, their parents, and the fantastic staff working on the ward.

Everyone at TUFC would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Wilton Bradley for providing toys for the visit, and we would like to wish everyone on the Louisa Cary ward a Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!
