Torquay United will be seeking a new bird of prey to maintain peace at Plainmoor next season, following the news that our resident hawk, Amber, and her handler, Stuart, will be flying off to pastures new.
Stuart Chidgey and Amber have been a familiar and much-loved presence on home matchdays for most of the past decade, with their dedicated service ensuring supporters were left to enjoy their chips in peace, whilst Torquay’s famous seagulls chose to turn their attentions elsewhere.

Stuart will now be taking a well-earned retirement, whilst Amber sets her sights on a move to Norfolk, where she will continue her service in East Anglia.
We are sure that all of the Yellow Army with join everyone else here at TUFC in thanking the duo for all their efforts during the past eight years, and we wish them all the very best for the future.
Should anyone in the falconry and hawking industry be interested in following in the footsteps of Stuart and Amber, then please contact the club on 01803 328666 or email reception@torquayunited.com
