The Big Screen Is Back!

The Big Screen is better than ever before… thanks to WCR Group and TUST

Torquay United is delighted to announce that Plainmoor’s Big Screen is back and better than ever before, and it’s thanks to the help of Torquay United Supporters Trust and WCR Group.

Newton Abbot-based WCR Group will already be familiar to Gulls fans, having been announced at United’s back-of-shirt sponsors for 2025/26, however WCR’s presence at Plainmoor is now set to go up a gear, with the news that they have now agreed to become the new Big Screen’ named sponsor for 2025/26.

WCR Director Ben Robinson spoke of his enthusiasm and excitement regarding becoming the screen’s new sponsor:

“We’re proud to extend our partnership with Torquay United to include sponsorship of their new scoreboard.

“Supporting our local club and community means a lot to us – and we’re right behind Torquay on their journey back to the Football League!”

Meanwhile, the funding for the new Big Screen received a huge boost after Torquay United Supporters Trust (TUST) contributed a third of the costs towards ensuring the Yellow Army had a screen to be proud of once again.

TUST Chairman Nick Brodrick highlighted the importance and potential of United’s new and improved digital matchday asset.

“As the club’s largest single shareholder the trust was only too pleased to support the request for financial help to purchase a new digital screen,” said Nick.

“Having obtained the approval of our members, we contributed one third of the costs, £8,629. Having a new screen that can provide visual up-to-date information can only enhance the match day experience for all fans at Plainmoor.

“The screen offers not only modern technology but also can generate commercial opportunities. It’s a win-win for everyone and all supporters will be proud to be part of the forward looking Torquay United.”

Everyone at Plainmoor would like to place on record its sincere thanks to everyone at WCR Group and TUST for their continued support of TUFC.
