Torquay United Women | First Team Manager Vacancy

Torquay United Women FC is looking for a first team manager to lead and drive for success on and off the pitch.

The manager will report to the chairman and board of directors of Torquay United Women FC.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the managing of coaching staff and players and will work towards the short and long-term goals of the Club.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a successful winning team
  • Work closely with the chairman and board of directors to create a pathway to the first team for the younger female age groups training with the Torquay United Community Sports Trust.
  • Assist and oversee a training programme with the help of the club coaches and ensure weekly review takes place.
  • Attend all training sessions and matches played by the Club.
  • Manage and support your team of coaching staff and players.
  • Ensure high standards of coaching from staff.
  • Liaise closely with club chair, secretary & media team in communication over all fixtures, officials, facilities etc.
  • Handle post-match administrative duties.
  • To ensure the Cub adheres to The FA standards for safeguarding.
  • Develop a positive relationship with every department of Torquay United Football Club.
  • Represent the Club at relevant League & Competition meetings.
  • Ensure that the Club adheres to The FA Rules and Regulations and Competition Rules.
  • Ensure that the Club adheres to Respect guidelines.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • UEFA B licence or similar qualification ideally (or evidence that the candidate is working towards this qualification).
  • FA First Aid & FA Safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build meaningful, strong strategic relationships.
  • Track record of consistent success and performance in a football environment.
  • Strong existing relationship with the Women’s football pyramid either nationally or regionally.
  • Willingness to be available evening and Sunday match days.
  • Ability to travel independently, when required.
  • Ability to support the relationship management of players, parents & staff.
  • Ability to work independently and with internal and external teams.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, who places high value on attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
