TUST In Time!

The Yellow Army will notice a much-anticipated and most-welcome improvement to Plainmoor at our next home game, with our Family Stand clock now back up-and-running and bang-on-time, thanks to the Torquay United Supporters Trust!

Having already donated funds towards a number of other projects to improve supporters’ matchday experience, TUST have again stepped forward to pledge funds of £480 to cover the costs of repairing the famous timepiece above the TUFC Directors’ Box.

Having been in place since the stand was built in the early 1990s, Gulls fans can now look in its direction with confidence once more, with TUST Chairman Nick Brodrick clearly delighted that one of the stadium’s long-standing challenges has finally been resolved.

“TUST is very pleased to have funded the repair,” said Nick.

“This has become an iconic stadium clock which sits proudly above the Directors’ Box. I appreciate the Big Screen offers the timings for the match, but the stadium clock is part of the club’s history, as there has been a clock inside Plainmoor since 1927, even if it wasn’t this particular one!

“This current clock keeps a timely watch on all events on the pitch, and we’re looking forward to seeing it back in action on Boxing Day!”

Everyone at TUFC would like to place on record its sincere thanks to TUST for supporting this latest project, for the benefit of the Club and its supporters.
