Young Gulls ‘keeper loaned to Tiverton
Torquay United’s Matt Wonnacott has joined Southern League Premier side Tiverton Town on loan, with the goalkeeper heading to Ladysmead in time for Tivvy’s first game of the season at Merthyr tomorrow.
Having returned to Plainmoor from Wigan during the summer, Wonnacott’s temporary move to Town provides the young stopper with an ideal opportunity to benefit from regular senior football in Mid Devon.
Matt, who played the full 90 minutes of United’s 3-0 win at Ladysmead last weekend, has agreed a deal until January, with a recall clause in place.
