Wonnacott Joins Tivvy As Seedhouse Evans Returns

Goalkeeping switch for United

Torquay United goalkeeper Matt Wonnacott has joined Tiverton Town on a one-month loan deal. Concordantly goalkeeper Adam Seedhouse Evans has registered with Torquay United to act as cover for goalkeeper James Hamon on match days.

“It’s really important for Matt’s development that he plays competitive men’s football. We’ve brought in Adam as cover for James Hamon,” said Torquay United manager, Paul Wotton.

“I’m really pleased that we’ve been able to get this loan move for Matty,” said goalkeeper coach, Kenny Griffiths.

“Matt will still be able to train with us during the week which was a key factor in us agreeing to the loan move.”

Goalkeeper Seedhouse Evans is someone well known to Griffiths, and is also no stranger to TUFC, having spent time playing and training with the club in the past.

Having gone on to gain a wealth of experience in local non-League circles with the likes of Bideford, Buckland and Plymouth Parkway, The Gulls’ GK Coach is pleased to be working with Adam once again.

“I’m delighted that we’ve been able to bring Adam into the squad. I’ve worked with him for the best part of ten years as a ‘keeper. He’s got a great attitude and has an infectious personality.

“Ability-wise he’s a ‘keeper that I completely trust to perform for us if called upon.”
