Seven more added ahead of season opener
With Torquay United’s women opening their season at Pucklechurch, seven more players have been added to Ryan Perks’ new-look squad for 2025/26
Here we provide a quick introduction to United new faces:
Jess Geach – Dual Registration (Plymouth Argyle)
Jess arrives from Plymouth Argyle where she came through the player pathway and made her first team debut in 2024/25 season.
Jess is an excellent defender who can play in centre-back or right-back. Calm on the ball and having teh ability to read the game well, Jess is a confident and physical player who will add leadership to the squad:
Matilda Franchi – Dual Registration (Exeter City)
Matilda is a versatile player who can play anywhere across the midfield or in a full back area.
Matilda has had tier 3 and 4 experience with Exeter in the last couple of seasons, and featured seven times in Exeter’s title winning season.
Carly Kelland – Dual Registration (Exeter City)
Carly is a promising young goalkeeper who has also arrived from our Devon neighbours.
Well-known for possessing a good range of distribution, Carly is also a good organiser and communicates well from the back.
Isabel Hillier-Nickels – Dual Registration (Exeter City)
Isabel is a centre-back who is composed on the ball and quick. Known for her good positional sense and excellent in one-v-one situations, she has settled into the group really well, and the team are looking forward to her developing further this term.
Kasey Dickson
Kasey is a wide attacking player, who is a bundle of energy both in and out of possession. Aggressive and strong at pressing from the front, she is sure to cause defenders plenty of issues with her runs off the ball
Hope Brinicombe
Hope is a talented young striker that recently joined South Devon College’s girl’s football programme.
Her pace is her biggest strength, enabling her to relentlessly press the opposition’s backline. She has won the county cup twice at youth level, and recently scored on her debut for TUWFC in their pre-season friendly against Teignmouth.
Charlotte Shaw
A passionate midfielder, having progressed through the ranks with TUWFC U16s and now into South Devon College’s Girl’s football programme.
Another player who recently winning the county cup with Torquay U16s, Charlotte has been training consistently with the first-team. Her ability to protect and shield the ball is her strongest attribute.
