TLS Firefly Grow Lights Still Lighting The Way

Since their arrival in August 2025, Turf Lighting Solutions (TLS) Firefly grow lights have been working on the pitch at Plainmoor to help regenerate and maintain the playing surface ready for match day.

The purchase of the lights was yet another example of how the Torquay United Supporters Trust (TUST) is helping support the Club. Since the addition of the grow lights problem areas on the pitch can be addressed quickly and with great results.

Grow lights provide artificial light that mimics sunlight so grass performs photosynthesis when natural light is limited or unavailable. They help grass grow by supplying the specific light wavelengths needed for healthy development.

The Yellow Army will have noticed that the lights have mainly been used on the penalty boxes which are the parts of pitch that suffer the most during the season.

We would like to thank TLS and TUST for their support in providing some pitch perfect lighting at Plainmoor!
