Saltash Test For United Women

Following United Women’s impressive 5-1 win over fellow promotion hopefuls AEK Boco last weekend, Ryan Perks’ side will be back on their travels on Sunday, as they head to Cornwall to take on Saltash.

Torquay’s win at Coach – coupled with results elsewhere has seen The Gulls cut the gap at the top of the table to just three points, where Forest Green Rovers reside, following their equally comfortable victory over Poole (1-4).

With striker Connie Pengelly announcing her return with a goal on her second debut last weekend, Perks has options all over the pitch, with Mollie Taylor also nullifying concerns over her recent injury against Frampton by starting the Boco clash.

Saltash’s season couldn’t have begun in worse fashion, however after back-to-back heavy reverses against Sherbourne (0-5) and Forest Green (2-7), the ship has been steadied somewhat, with their last outing seeing their run out 2-1 winners away at Bishops Lydeard.

Any members of the Yellow Army planning on make the trip over the Tamar Bridge to cheer on the girls will be made to feel most welcome at the Kimberley Stadium, however those unable to make the trip can instead listen to full live commentary via TUFC Radio from 2pm HERE
