Experienced forward signs up
Two days on from being announced as the new man in charge at Plainmoor, Jimmy Ball has made his first signing as Gulls boss, with the addition of experienced centre-forward Deon Moore, who has agreed a deal until the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
Deon joins United after leaving fellow National League South outfit Maidstone earlier this week.
Having joined The Stones last July, Moore’s spell in Kent proved to be a highly successful one, with his 12 goals in all competitions so far this term seeing him depart the Gallagher Stadium as the side’s top scorer.

After beginning his career at League One side Peterborough, moves to the likes of Bristol Rovers, Lewes, Sutton, Woking and Welling has seen 26 year-old build up enviable reputation as an imposing frontman with a keen eye for goal.
Deon has also excelled on the international stage with Guyana, winning 14 full caps and scoring 5 goals, however, in an early display of Moore’s commitment to the promotion-chasing cause here at Plainmoor, Torquay’s newest recruit has advised that he has turned down his latest international call-up with his country in order to ensure he can play a full part in United’s end-of-season run-in, beginning with tomorrow’s trip to Dagenham & Redbridge.
Deon has been allocated squad number 19.
TUFC would like to thank Moore’s agent, Odyssey Sports Group, for their assistance in arranging the deal.
Welcome aboard, Deon!
