Midfielder Osborne Joins Gulls

Torquay United manager Jimmy Ball has strengthened his squad ahead of the 2025/26 National League South run-in, after completing the deadline day loan signing of AFC Bournemouth midfielder Charlie Osborne.

The 20-year old schemer has joined The Gulls until the end of the season following a temporary stint at divisional rivals AFC Totton, with Charlie making 12 appearances during Ball’s time in charge of the Stags earlier this season.

A versatile player who can also operate at left-back, Charlie began his career at Ringwood Town before joining the Premier League Cherries, where he has gone on to establish himself as a regular for the club’s Under-21 team.

In addition to his time with Totton, Osborne has also gained valuable first-team experience whilst out on loan with Isthmian League outfit Bognor Regis Town and Austrian Bundesliga side TSV Hartberg.
