Torquay United is delighted to announce the deadline day signing of Reading forward Reece Evans, who will join The Gulls on loan until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Highly-rated forward Reece, 20, arrives at Plainmoor having already made his debut for the Royals in their EFL Trophy defeat to Swindon last September, in addition to gaining international recognition with Northern Ireland’s Under-19 side.
After spending the 2023/24 campaign with Leicester U21s, Evans moved north of the border to join Scottish Championship side Queens Park last term, for whom he made 13 appearances.

The highlight of his time in Scotland was undoubtedly the SPFL Trust Trophy semi-final against East Kilbride, where Reece’s brace of goals in a 6-2 win saw The Spiders through to the final.
United’s latest addition provides manager Jimmy Ball with another welcome option in the attacking ranks, as the National League South promotion race heads to another exciting conclusion.
