With almost 2,000 members of the Yellow Army already having bought tickets for Saturday’s Play-Off Final Watch Party at Plainmoor, we have one very important piece of matchday advice for every Yellow attending:
Please turn off your live score notifications.
Because the game is being shown via the DAZN live stream, there may be a short delay between the action at Hornchurch and what appears on the big screens at Plainmoor.
That means your phone may know about a goal before the rest of us do.
To help preserve the full matchday experience for everyone inside Plainmoor, we are asking supporters to switch off notifications from apps and social media services that provide live updates, flash scores or goal alerts.
That includes football score apps, social media push alerts, WhatsApp groups, Flashscore, FotMob. SofaScore, FootballWebPages etc. — and, frankly, your mate Dave who has somehow got the quickest 5G connection in Essex.
We want Plainmoor to react to the drama together. Every goal, every attack, every save, every tackle, every heart-stopping moment.
So before kick-off, please take a moment to put your phone on silent, disable live score alerts, and resist the temptation to refresh social media.
This is a day for the Yellow Army to come together and create the closest thing possible to being there at Hornchurch.
